Today was all about self-care. This blog is all about relationships. The relationship we have with ourselves is very important. How we take care of ourselves reflects that relationship. I think I do a pretty good job of taking care of myself. When I had my physical earlier this year, my doctor/lab reports confirmed it. Self-care is a huge part of taking great care of me. During the week, eating well and working out are at the top of my list. I do my best to get at minimum three days in at the gym. This week, I got in four. Yesterday was a full hour of yoga.
Started With The Innards
Self-care Sunday started with the innards. I believe beauty, confidence, self-esteem and overall feeling good about ourselves comes from within. I started today as I do every day with oil pulling using coconut oil. Have you ever tried it? Oil pulling is an ancient Ayurvedic ritual where you swish oil (like coconut oil, sesame oil or sunflower oil) around in your mouth for about 20 minutes and then spit it out. Plant Based Diet
Next up was a coffee enema. I know, I know, I know. Disgusting! No one wants to do an enema unless they have too but doing a coffee enema once a week ensures you will never have too, as long as you eat a majority plant based diet and take care to ingest foods that are good for your colon. Excellent Uses For ACV
And then it was time for an Apple Cider Vinegar bath. I know, I know, I know…you’re probably thinking what the hell but listen, ACV is so amazing in the bathtub. I added 2 cups too hot water and soaked for 20 minutes. I also washed my hair with ACV then gave it a good deep conditioning. After that, it was time for my bentonite clay mask mixed with ACV. There are so many excellent uses for ACV. There’s always a bottle of ACV in my kitchen.
We Have Nothing Without Health
Self-care Sunday ended with a nap and then it was time to eat. I start every day with a green drink; two greens; today was kale and dandelion root, two fruits; blueberries and pineapple, a slice of lemon, a piece of ginger, 1 tsp of turmeric, 1 tbsp grade B maple syrup all blended with filtered water.
