Happy New Year To You And Yours
December 27, 2014 Random Thoughts

The Hardest Year Of My Life
In four days, we will usher in a New Year.  As I sit and type this post, I can honestly say 2014 has been the hardest year of my life.   Betrayal, lies and loss were the order of the day yet, in spite of it all, I’m still standing stronger than ever.  I feel like Joseph who was betrayed by his brothers and accused of something he didn’t do with no way to defend himself and I also feel like Jesus who was betrayed by Judas.  Looks like I’m in great company.

The Best Year Of My Life
2014 has also been the best year of my life because I learned for sure where I belong.  I know beyond the shadow of a doubt where I belong and I’m headed there in the New Year with Gods help and his favor.  Knowing where we belong is powerful.  I look forward to entering the New Year standing on the promises of God.  Some of the promises I’m standing on now and in 2015 are:

“And call upon me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee…”  Psalm 50:15

“For I know the plans I have for you declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”  Jeremiah 29:11

“I will never leave your or forsake you.”  Hebrews 13:5

“If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31

“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” Isaiah 41:10

“The LORD shall fight for you, and ye shall hold your peace.”  Exodus 14:14

“Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”  Psalm 23:4

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”  Psalm 27:1

“When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.”  Isaiah 43:2

Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.”  Matthew 6:31-32

“And my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:19

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”  Psalm 32:8

“And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.”  Romans 8:28

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”  Jeremiah 33:3

“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.”  Isaiah 40:31

“No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.”  Isaiah 54:17

“Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.”  Joshua 1:9

Thank God For Jesus
As I have said repeatedly on Twitter and elsewhere, “Thank God for Jesus.” I could not have made it to this day without him.  God willing we will see each other in 2015.  Know that the above promises are for you too once you enter into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ.

  3. I love this! I will definitely save so I can refer to these scriptures when needed. I’m glad you now know where you belong. Thank God for our journeys that lead us to answers and destinations!

  4. My 2014 was great and 2015 will be better. There are things to be done and tasks to be completed; all in due time. I know exactly how you feel being betrayed and back stabbed. It is what it is, I figure if you get those people out of your life now you’re saving yourself more energy in the long run. Also, makes time and space for valuable people to come into your life. Hope you had a great Christmas holiday and happy new year Yvonne! 🙂 Take Care -Iva
