Work it Out!

by Yvonne Chase on March 17, 2010

If we kept our commitments and understood that we are not perfect, we would understand that there are gonna be a lot of things that need to be worked out.  Two imperfect people coming together will present challenges.   I don’t think we really pay attention to this when we say, “I do.” I was just telling a friend earlier this evening that we don’t work things out anymore.  We throw people away like disposable garbage bags.

Problems in relationships show up for three primary reasons; to teach you something about yourself, your partner and to bring you closer.  If we started to look at problems as a gift…I know that’s a foreign thought, we would be much better off and we would handle situations accordingly.

James 1:2-4 tells us to “Count it all joy when you face trials of many kinds” because with each trial our character is being built, we’re becoming more patient, perseverance is developed and a host of other characteristics are developed and enhanced.  While you may not find joy in the actual trial, you will find joy in the results of the trial.   Difficult times can produce great qualities but you gotta stick around.

Something to think about!
